Dr. Linda Kauffman, owner of Burnt Fork Veterinary Clinic, has cared for animals since the clinic opened in 1999.
Dr. Kauffman grew up on a hog and cattle farm in eastern Nebraska.
She was always outside helping her dad, and her first try at porcine obstetrics came at the age of six when her dad wanted help delivering piglets from a smaller young sow.
She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for her undergraduate studies.
Dr. Kauffman was accepted into Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1983.

Dr. Kirstin Bull is a Bitterroot Valley native, growing up just down the road in Corvallis.
She comes from a very dog friendly family and she raised sheep for 4-H (which Dr. Kauffman treated several times) sparking her interest in rural, mixed animal veterinary medicine.
She received a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Montana State University and attended veterinary school at Colorado State University.
During her fourth and final year of vet school, Dr. Bull participated in an exchange program and studied for a short time at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, which was an incredibly rewarding experience where she worked on many sheep and Scottish Highland cattle.
