Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital
In 2003, Dr. Weekes and his wife Jan opened the Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital in Duvall. As the practice continues to grow, our fundamental practice philosophy remains constant. Our priority is to maintain the highest standard of veterinary medicine. Our veterinary protocols are allopathic, evidence based and diagnosis driven. We offer a spectrum of veterinary services from preventative to critical care, including in house laboratory, radiology, dentistry, laser therapy and surgery.

We recognize the importance of communication, the need for information to make decisions in pet health and illness and to balance care within individual financial means. Dr. Weekes utilizes his long established relationships with local specialists for consultation, referral and integration of treatment plans. Our dedicated staff shares a commitment not only to our patients, but to their families as well.

It is our hospital policy for our patients of record, that during office hours we will always see an ill or emergent pet.
Services
We recommend that pets receive an annual physical exam.
Screening for and finding health issues early effects your pets, treatment outcome, comfort and longevity.
A physical exam includes the Doctor listening to the heart and lungs, examining the ears, skin, coat, eyes and mouth, palpating the abdomen and lymph nodes, evaluating joint stability and body condition, measuring weight and temperature.
It is an opportunity to ask questions and update vaccines if needed.
Additional diagnostics may be requested or recommended.
Hematology: in house laboratory for complete blood profiles including CBC, blood chemistry and electrolytes.
We also offer a coagulation panel and SNAP tests including giardia, pancreatitis, parvo, feline leukemia and FIV, heartworm and tick borne diseases.
Urinalysis: our urinalysis includes a specific gravity, chemistry that measures 9 parameters and also a microsediment exam.
Skin and Ears: Are commonly affected when pets have allergies, hormone disease, parasites or exposure to contact irritants.
CVVH dentistry package includes: pre-anesthetic exam, general anesthesia, IV catheter and fluids, oral exam, hand and Piezo scaling, polishing, pocket measurement, fluoride and Oravet Sealant.
Our patients are discharged with antibiotics and pain medication.
CVVH dentals are graded I, II, or III depending on the amount of tartar and periodontal disease.
All dentistry patients undergo general anesthesia with isoflurane (gas).
We monitor the patient's blood pressure, heart and respiration rates, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.
We perform non-emergency surgeries Tuesday through Friday.
Typically patients are admitted to the hospital between 7:30 and 8:00am with an overnight stay being optional.
Pre-anesthetic feeding instructions are: no food after 8:00pm the night before, water is fine during the night but then picked up first thing in the morning.
All general anesthesia patients receive an IV catheter and IV fluids.
We monitor the patient's blood pressure, heart and respiration rates, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.
Our package is designed to meet all of your puppy's medical requirements.
It is structured to follow the vaccine protocol that puppies should receive their DHP-CP (distemper, hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo combination vaccine) every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks of age.
Depending on the age when they start, packages may entail 2 or 3 visits.
