Always The Best Request Appointment Get Directions 24/7 Emergency Care Advancing the standards of veterinary care. We are proud to be an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital. Fewer than 15% of veterinary practices nationwide earn AAHA accreditation. In order to do so, you must undergo routine inspections from veterinary experts who have a single purpose: to certify excellence in everything you do.

Our clients rest easy knowing that the team at their back practices medicine with standards that are among the highest in the world. Any cat owner can tell you how unique felines are. Besides the wonderful ways that they enrich our lives, they have unique needs during their visit. We are proud to be a certified Cat Friendly practice, as we believe it is important to practice stellar medicine for your feline family member.

Our team is highly trained in handling cats, has advanced knowledge in their biological systems, and we work to limit their exposure to other types of animals to limit their stress levels.

Our Roots Upon graduation from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1964, Dr. Wayne Lutz founded Greenhaven Animal Clinic.
Dr. Lutz began providing care to both the small animal patients and large animal clients in the area, and it did not take long for the practice to take off.
After his graduation from the University of Illinois in 1988, Dr. William Armbruster decided to return to the area and join his mentor and friend in the veterinary practice.
Over the next several years, the business grew into the 3-plus-doctor practice it is today.

The first test is called a Complete Blood Count (or CBC).
This basic blood test shows us the levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, which can be helpful in diagnosing anemia (low red blood cells), systemic infections, and potential blood clotting deficiencies.
