Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging is a leading diagnostic facility offering state-of-the-art services for your pet. We offer CT, digital radiology, and ultrasound. Dr. Siems and our small team of board certified radiologists also provide teleconsultation services to veterinary clinics all over the country. We are co-located in the Pet Emergency Clinic & Referral Center with other specialty services including dermatology, emergency, internal medicine, oncology, and surgery.
We only see patients on referral, so if you feel your pet could benefit from diagnostic imaging services we provide, please ask your veterinarian to contact us for an appointment.

Services
IEVI provides candidates with the ideal environment for professional growth, and our program is designed to meet and exceed all ACVR residency requirements.
In addition, our goal is to ensure proper training and preparation for the resident to become a clinical radiologist and to grow skill set in all imaging modalities to optimize patient diagnosis and care.
Our residency program is led by Dr. Jeff Siems, DACVR, Dr. Paxton Harness, DACVR, and is supported by Dr. Krystina Stadler, DACVR out of our partner hospital Summit Veterinary Referral Center in Tacoma, Washington.

We use a Samsung RS85 and a Toshiba Aplio 500 for our ultrasound studies.
Ultrasound machines use ultrahigh frequency sound waves transmitted into the body allowing visualization of normal and abnormal tissue.
The high frequency sound waves do no harm to the body tissues, and cause no pain to your pet.
We offer diagnostic ultrasound of the abdomen, thorax, heart, and musculoskeletal system.
See the ultrasound video below for more.
A fine needle aspirate is when a very small, hallow needle is inserted into abnormal tissue, in which a small sample of cells accumulate.

Email your completed paperwork to [email protected] or print and bring with you to your appointment.
We operate by a "drop off" system for our ultrasounds.
That means your pet will be dropped off with us at a scheduled time and we will call you when your pet is ready to go home.
Using this system allows us to accommodate any emergencies that local veterinarians may need to send for diagnostic imaging.
Your pet will be shaved according to the body cavity we ultrasound and may need to be sedated for the procedure.

Will I speak with the radiologist regarding my pet?
A. Similar to human medicine, the radiologist will contact your pet's veterinarian as soon as possible following the imaging exam.
Your pet's primary caregiver will then discuss the results of the imaging study with you.
Will I have to withhold food?
A. Yes, we request removing food ideally 12 hours before the imaging study.
Free choice water is okay.
Q.
How long is an imaging study?
A. This is dependent on the type of study.
From the time you drop your pet off, anticipate 2-4 hours for an ultrasound exam, and 4 hours to all day for a CT exam.
