Meet the doctors at South Bay Veterinary Clinic - Dr. Caroline Bowater and Dr. Chris Hannafin.
Dr. Bowater is originally from England "across the pond".
As a young girl growing up in London she always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian.
Her family always had pets and she loved the bond she shared with them.
She and her family moved to Connecticut in 1976.
On arrival at Kennedy Airport they had 21 pieces of luggage, including 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Customs took one look and told them to keep on going!
The Staff at South Bay Veterinary Clinic was recently featured by Vet Tech Colleges as one of the most exceptional in the Northeast!
Sharon graduated from University of Rhode Island in 1994 with a degree in pre-veterinary science.
She has been with SBVC since 1997 - yes, you heard that correctly!
She is definitely considered to be the old timer on the block!
She lives with her husband Dave and their 10 yr old son, Eli.
In her free time Sharon is an avid runner/walker and will go for miles.
Their menagerie of animals includes 4 dogs - Gracie, Georgia, Pete and Rosie and 2 cats - Ducky and Birdie.
My husband and I have been bringing our ferret to South Bay for about 5 years (we have since gotten a second ferret who also goes there).
Dr. Bowater and staff are all extremely competent and gentle with both of our furbabies.
Dr. Bowater also has a lot of experience with ferrets which is a big plus!
We have had nothing but pleasant experiences with them!
I have had dogs and cats almost all my life.
I have never had a veterinary clinic I have loved more.
The vet techs are fabulous.
They all take a personal interest in their patients and their owners and are more than helpful.
