Services
The Osseo vet Clinic was started by Dr. Tom Horel in 1973 and a few years later was combined with the Augusta Vet Clinic owned by Tom's father Dr. J. T. Horel.
In 1977 Dr. Jack Kolar joined the practice and by 1981 two more veterinarians had been added and the clinic moved to it's current location.
Dr. Linda Giese started in 1988.
At this time the practice was 85% dairy and 15% small animal and equine work.
Over time the caseload shifted to 50% dairy/equine and 50% small animal work.
The back of the clinic was remodeled in 2000 to allow for better work flow for the small animal portion of the practice.
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible.
The time and effort invested in wellness programs have rewards for both pets and owners.
Wellness programs include physical exam, internal parasite testing, heartworm and flea control, vaccinations, spay and neutering, microchipping and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet.
Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy, and active.
Pregnancy diagnosis and evaluation of the reproductive tract can offer your beef or dairy herd extra insight and aid in decision making processes.
This service can be scheduled routinely or on an as needed basis.
Ultrasound is an added tool for more efficient and accurate examinations.
We offer Dairy Comp 305 reproductive record keeping for our herd health clients to aid in management on the farm.
Routine vaccinations, reproductive hormone protocols, and other preventative health and maintenance procedures can be added to suit your herd's needs.
