Veneta Veterinary Hospital
We have always placed the highest priority on being here for your pets when you need us the most. We will continue to do that as long as possible. Urgent procedures are allowed, so we will continue to help your pets with anything that is causing discomfort or could worsen if treatment is delayed. If you are sick or immunocompromised, we are happy to get your pet from the car, but please do not enter the hospital.

Please call us from the parking lot. We would like to limit the number of people that accompany their pet into the building to help with distancing. There are situations where you should be with your pet, if you feel comfortable, to help with communications and treatment. We ask that you limit yourself to only one pet owner per pet in the building if possible.

Veneta Veterinary Hospital as a longstanding tradition of helping our community and beyond with complete veterinary care. Our locally owned hospital has been serving the medical, surgical and dental needs of patients since 1979.
Services
Veneta Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1979 by Dr. DuWayne Penfold to serve the veterinary needs of this community.
In those days, 'all creatures great and small' were welcome.
Over the years, we have shifted our focus to small animals in order to maintain consistent, high quality care.
Now our days are filled with cats, dogs, rabbits, pocket pets, and the occasional avian and reptile patients.
People come to us from all over Lane County, including Veneta, Elmira, Florence, Eugene, Springfield, Junction City, Lorane, Blachly, and many more.
Veneta Veterinary Hospital provides complete medical, surgical and dental care for our patients, including cats, dogs, rabbits, pocket pets, and the occasional avian and reptile.
Our clients know that when their pet has a problem, we will make sure they are seen that day.
We also understand there are times when someone would like a second opinion on their pet's condition before undergoing a procedure.
We are happy to provide a consultation (and estimate) at no charge in this situation to make sure you feel comfortable you're making the right decision, whether that procedure happens at our facility or your regular veterinarian.
We are often asked to estimate prices for procedures performed at our hospital.
This can be difficult for patients or problems that we have not seen, but we'll do our best to let you know what to expect.
Below is a list of prices for ovariohysterectomy (spay) and castration (neuter) procedures.
This price includes the pre-surgical exam, anesthesia, surgical procedure and pain medications for the following days at home.
You will have the peace of mind that your pet's surgery is performed by a trusted veterinarian at a hospital facility capable of handling unexpected needs.
We are proud of our family at Veneta Veterinary Hospital.
We take patient care very seriously and we want you to know your pet is in good hands.
Our Licensed Technicians ('Nurses'), Receptionists and Assistants have decades of experience between them and they also understand what it feels like to be in your shoes.
We know you like to see a familiar face when you come through our door, and someone that is genuinely interested in helping you care for your pet.
In 1970, Dr. Penfold graduated from Michigan State University and moved his family to Eugene to start life as a veterinarian.
The following list will link to websites with valuable resources and information you can use to stay informed and maintain your pet's good health.
No two pets are the same, so remember that these may not always apply to your animal in your location.
We will be gradually adding and updating the material as time allows.
If you need clarification, feel free to give us a call or stop by the hospital.
