Our experienced veterinarians recommend initiating regular dental cleanings and exams when your pets are young to prevent the development of periodontal disease.
Periodontal disease in pets begins with bacteria in the mouth that hardens and forms plaque in the same way that it does in people.
If not removed during routine checkups and cleanings from your veterinarian, the bacteria will accumulate, harden into tartar, and can lead to the development of periodontal disease.

One illness that is all too common in Tennessee is heartworm disease.
This is one disease that we can definitely prevent through annual testing and following a preventive treatment program.
Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal condition that can affect indoor and outdoor companion pets, but the earlier it is detected, the better the chances that your pet will recover.
