Melrose Animal Clinic has been a part of this community since 1982, and our current owner and veterinarian, Dr. Silverman, has been running the show since 1991. So, what makes us special? We run our animal hospital differently. We put your comfort and that of your pet's first and foremost. In fact, we're a Cat Friendly Practice and utilize many Fear Free techniques, too.

Every interaction here is based on compassion and respect. Couple that with comprehensive services, and the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, and you have a sense of what Melrose Animal Clinic is all about. From my early childhood days of raising "Bobbin the Robin, " the orphaned baby bird that one day appeared in my backyard, I somehow knew that caring for animals was my natural calling.

Melrose Animal Clinic is an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited practice. Accreditation is a voluntary process for animal hospitals, but with our love for pets, we didn't see any other choice. Accreditation means we adhere to the highest quality and standards of safety in all areas of our practice.

I have worked at the Melrose Animal Clinic since 1989.
I have "come up through the ranks" so to speak and thoroughly enjoy my current position as Practice Manager.
I attended the American Animal Hospital Association Veterinary Management School in Colorado, and I am also a member of the VHMA (Veterinary Hospital Management Association).
Accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association is not a simple accolade.
To us, it's a philosophy; a way of practicing veterinary medicine.
As an AAHA-accredited animal hospital, Melrose Animal Clinic treats pets like the valued family members they are.
We're pet owners and animal lovers ourselves, and we understand that the human-animal bond is sacred and should be fostered with compassion and superb veterinary care-because when your pet is in their best health, your bond with them is strongest too.
At Melrose Animal Clinic, we recognize that bringing your pet to visit us can cause FAS (fear, anxiety, and stress), and FAS affects not only our furry patients but their human parents as well.
When our patients are fearful, stressed, or anxious, our ability to fully examine, and thus help them, is compromised.
That's why we've sought accreditation as a Cat Friendly Practice from the American Association of Feline Practitioners as well as implemented fear-free techniques to reduce FAS in our clinic.
