Opened in 2018, Birch Island Veterinary Center is a long-time dream for our lead doctor Deanna Greer, who has been a Jacksonville native for over 15 years, and a veterinarian for over 20 years!
Our practice will strive to be the home away from home for your dogs, cats, and small animal family members. Our facility was designed from the ground-up to eliminate fear, anxiety, and stress and values the emotional state of our patients as much as their physical health. We have separate entrances, waiting rooms, and exam rooms for dogs vs cats, as well as slip-free surfaces and alternate exam locations to make your pet's experience as comfortable as possible.

Kristin is Birch Island's fear-free certified Hospital Manager.
She is instrumental in keeping our practice running efficiently while sharing her kindness & humor with both staff and clients.
Born and raised in Boston, MA, Kristin moved to Jacksonville in 2004 which is when she found her passion for helping animals as well as their owners.
Since then, she has been in the veterinary field in various capacities.
Kristin combines her managerial, administrative, customer service and animal care skills together to provide exceptional service to our clients & patients while overseeing daily hospital functions.
She is instrumental in keeping our practice running efficiently while sharing her kindness & humor with both staff and clients.

His love for animals is also reflected in his personal life where he is the caretaker to Bear (a Black Lab), Catti B (a tuxedo cat), two horses (Neon & Harmony), many chickens and saltwater fish.
A Jacksonville native, Patrick enjoys taking advantage of the great local fishing opportunities, both inshore and off.
Having worked with animals since a teenager, Patrick has enjoyed a career as both a kennel attendant and a veterinary technician.

Diana Turner is our amazing on-site groomer who will be available for grooming both dogs and cats Monday through Friday, from 8 AM - 4 PM.
After attending school to master her skills, Diana has spent the last 11 years enjoying a successful grooming career.
She is passionate about her work and loves to pamper pets to the fullest!
She is well-versed in the various breed cuts & styles and happy to discuss your specific requests.
We feel very fortunate to have her on board!
