Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital located on the East Side of downtown Indianapolis. Our hospital has proudly served Indianapolis and the surrounding communities since it first opened its doors in 1999. Thanks to the continued support from our community, our veterinary hospital has been able to continuously grow and expand.
Dr. Kiersten Wiley acquired the hospital in 2017 after 11 years of ownership under Dr. Angela Smith. Our name changed from Emerson Pet Clinic to Indy Paws Animal Hospital to better represent our scope. At Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital, we know that being entrusted with the care of your four-legged family member is an important responsibility. We strive to earn this trust by providing exceptional, individual, and compassionate care for our clients and patients in an affordable way.
At Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital, it is our goal to be the most respected veterinary healthcare providers in Indianapolis. We work to achieve this through continuous education and innovation, a team-oriented approach to medicine, and a family atmosphere.

Preventive care is one of the most important aspects of maintaining your pet's health.
Starting from a young age, it is important to develop a relationship with our veterinary health care team.
This allows us to know your pet's history and identify potential health concerns before they become serious.
At the early detection stage, treatments are often easier and less expensive.
Wellness visits are recommended every 3-4 weeks beginning at 6 weeks of age for puppies and kittens and annually thereafter.

Vaccination is one of the easiest and inexpensive ways to protect your pet's health.
Vaccinations can be placed into 2 general categories: core (recommend for all pets) and non-core (recommended based upon lifestyle).
Our staff believes in individualized vaccination plans: we will discuss your dog's lifestyle, environment and travel to help tailor a plan that makes sense for your pet.
Some vaccinations may be administered annually, while others may be given less frequently.
While vaccines are available through sources other than your veterinarian, they may not protect your pet against disease unless they are properly stored, handled, and administered.
