We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible.
If you have any questions about how we can care for your pet, please don't hesitate to call us at (720) 520-2412.
Happy Paws Veterinary Hospital will be an exciting, passionate, and creative community leader advocating for the physical and emotional wellness of animals; inspiring and promoting education, welfare, respect, and compassionate solutions to problems effecting all animals: wild animals, homeless animals, farm and companion animals.
By embracing new knowledge and cutting-edge technology, our mission at Happy Paws Veterinary Hospital, is to provide the most progressive medicine, while incorporating Holistic therapies, and always treating each patient as family, with dignity, compassion, and love, while providing emotional support to clients, the "pet parents"; to deliver our services with integrity, passion, thoroughness, consistency and professionalism; most importantly, to always see ourselves through the eyes of our voiceless patients who understand only that we are gentle and kind; to have as our first priority, relief and prevention of fear, pain, anxiety, stress, in a comfortable happy environment, and to strive to minimize our patients' time away from home.
Our veterinary exams are holistic, comprehensive, and thorough.
The feedback we have received from clients over the years is appreciation for the time we take to provide recommendations specifically for each patient based on their individual needs and the needs of their family.
For new patients, we get copies of all past medical records to review prior to the patient's first exam.
Our veterinary assistant will also ask a series of questions prior to Dr. Wellman's exam to document patient's life style, exercise, diet, behavioral concerns, supplements, medications, preventatives, and any concerns pet parent has about patient's health and or well-being.
We offer wonderful comprehensive Puppy and Kitten Programs.
These programs help new pet parents plan financially for the entire series of visits.
Our youngster patients are seen every 3 weeks until 18 weeks of age.
At initial visit, we review an extensive list of hazards, and we discuss at length how to set each puppy and kitten up for success: diet, training, exercise, attention, and realistic expectations.
We discuss everything from crate training for puppies and how to help deter kitty scratching, to safe toys, pet sitters, daycare, and puppy schools!
At Happy Paws, we use only the safest vaccinations, offer vaccination titers when applicable, have conservative vaccination protocols, and tailor vaccination recommendations to each patient's individual needs.
There are a variety of life threatening, but preventable diseases, which affect our unvaccinated pets and other animals.
This makes proper vaccination and titer monitoring vital in protecting our furry family members from illnesses they are susceptible to.
It's important to consult with us about the unique risks of living in our region and to review with us both life-style and travel plans involving your pet.
