Townsend Veterinary Hospital is a state of the art veterinary medical facility located in Townsend, Massachusetts. We practice high quality general medicine, surgery, and wellness care. Dr. Jim Easley, a board certified veterinary surgeon, is part of our team providing orthopedic and specialized soft tissue surgical services. We strive to treat your four-legged family members the same way we treat our own; with dignity, love, and compassion.

BJ graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 1993 and established Townsend Veterinary Hospital in the Old Brick Store in West Townsend in 1995.
The new facility was completed in 2005, and the practice relocated one mile down Main Street to its current address in Townsend.
BJ loves difficult diagnostic challenges and has a dedication to pursuing all possible options to help a patient.
He has pursued additional training in ultrasound imaging.
The most important thing to BJ is his family.
He is an extremely dedicated father and husband to his wife, Margo and his four children, Aubrey, Noah, Bennett, and Luca.

Otherwise known as an "annual" exam, yearly exams are very important for protecting your furry family member's wellness and longevity.
The goal of these exams is to catch diseases or problems early, to screen serious disease including lyme and heartworm disease, to discuss diet, flea & tick preventatives, and to vaccinate your pet against serious preventable diseases.
Vaccines are, of course, a core part of keeping your pet safe and healthy, and we build our vaccine protocols around you and your family's needs and risks.

A true emergency such as an animal that has been injured by a car, has difficulty breathing, or has an obstructed urinary tract, will be taken immediately, with or without a previously scheduled appointment.
Emergency fees apply to these appointments.
Patients with urgent medical problems will be seen the day their owners call.
Appointment times are purposely left open and designated for this.
