Services
Northwest Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Sam Allen in 1975.
When Dr. Allen retired in 2012, Dr. Sara Williams purchased the practice with a team of experienced veterinary professionals dedicated to creating a welcoming place for pet owners.
Dr. Sara and her team specialize in genuine compassion and connection.
Their friendly and easy to communicate with style is undoubtedly the reason Northwest Animal Hospital has been named the "Best Veterinary Hospital" in Plymouth for the last 3 years.
Respectful - We are respectful to both clients and colleagues, and we respect each person's role in the hospital.
At Northwest Animal Hospital, our goal is to provide each and every patient with the caring, individualized care that they need to enjoy long, happy and healthy lives.
Our veterinarians and staff are highly trained and well-equipped to meet all of your pet's health care needs, from routine wellness exams to surgery.
We also focus on client education by making medical explanations and recommendations clear and easy to understand.
Dr. Sara grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota.
She was fascinated by science and when she was in high school, she helped her mom study to be a nurse, which sparked her interest in medicine.
She attended North Dakota State and graduated with a degree in microbiology before continuing on to veterinary school.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
In vet school, Dr. Sara studied both farm and small animal medicine but decided that since she didn't like to be cold, wet or dirty, farm animal medicine wasn't the path for her.
We will miss you very much Ellie.
You were a part of our family for 11 years and our house will not be the same without you.
Amy was a very loving dog that enjoyed every minute of her 13 weeeks on this earth.
She touched the hearts of everyone she met and even though she was with us for a very short time, she will be missed by many.
Our hospital is Certified Feline Friendly and we specialize in providing a comfortable experience for you and your pet.
We understand why some pets are nervous going to the vet and we use special techniques to minimize stress and fear.
We treat each of our patients as a unique individual and tailor our care plan and examination techniques to each patient.
