Beach Pet Hospital
We deliver the highest standard quality of veterinary medicine to your furry friends along with friendly and professional care. Our #1 priority is to keep your pets healthy and happy throughout all stages of their lives. The importance of good dental health cannot be stressed enough. Being an AAHA approved hospital, we follow their guidelines and recommendations with state of the art equipment.

Veterinary medicine has allowed our furry (or not so furry) friends to live longer and healthier lives, however, extending your pet's lifespan is not without its concerns. Older pets begin to develop age-related changes that can affect their health. Beach Pet offers an array of prescription medications prescribed by our veterinarians. In addition to our in-house medications, for the less common medications, we sometimes write prescriptions to be filled at local pharmacies.

Beach Pet Hospital utilizes the latest technologies and most current techniques to practice the highest level of medical care possible for your pet.
Services
Our laboratory area consists of a complete array of in-house diagnostic equipment relating to blood, fecal, urine samples or tissue samples.
The equipment used by our veterinary technicians is stare-of-the-art, allowing for quick and accurate results so our veterinarians can diagnose and treat our patients in a thorough and timely manner.
Beach Pet is excited to offer as part of our diagnostic services to better serve your pet's health care needs.
Ultrasound enhances other diagnostic services such as radiography and pathology by allowing better visualization of the interior organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys.

As pets reach the golden years, there are a variety of conditions and diseases that they can face, including weight and mobility changes; osteoarthritis; kidney, heart, and liver disease; tumors and cancers; hormone disorders such as diabetes and thyroid imbalance; and many others.
All surgery is performed in an isolated sterile suite using isoflurane and sevoflurane anesthesia.
The patient is carefully monitored by a technician using pulse and respiratory monitors or a pulse oximeter.
We perform a full range of surgical services from routine spays and neuters to more complicated soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, such as anterior cruciate repair procedures.
We also maintain a close relationship with a number of board-certified surgeons locally and at the regional teaching hospitals at North Carolina State and Virginia Tech.
Laser therapy uses photobiomodulation to reduce inflammation and encourage cell regeneration and growth.
During this process, the body will release endorphins to aid in pain alleviation.
The laser penetrates skin and tissues in order to stimulate any injured cells, whether on the skin or deep tissue.
Laser therapy also increases blood circulation throughout the body which is important in many ways including cell regeneration.
Cell regrowth is important for the skeletal and muscular systems.
If your pet struggles with arthritic or injury-related pain, then laser therapy may be helpful.
Below you will find the file to register information about you and your pet with our practice.

Please make sure your dog is on a leash and your cat in a carrier before getting out of your car and keep your pet contained at all times in the reception area.
This keeps not only your pet safe, but also prevents "unexpected encounters" with other pets who might be a little nervous.
Please keep "retractable" leashes in the shortened position at all times.
