The microchip is a device used for permanent identification for your pet. It is about the size of a grain of rice and is placed under the skin between the shoulder blades. All veterinary clinics and animal shelters have universal scanners that are able to read the chip's number. Radiographs are very useful tools for looking at problems in your pets.

They are used to diagnose fractures, any other bony problems, heart and lung problems as well as foreign bodies. It is important for you to check your pet's mouth on a routine basis and we also check the mouth when you bring your pet in for an exam. If left unchecked, bacteria from the mouth can enter the bloodstream and travel to the lungs, heart, kidneys, liver & even the brain, starting infections and seriously compromising the health of your pet.
