Dr. Jill Christofferson has worked as a veterinarian in Contra Costa County since graduating from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1993. Dr. Christofferson has always enjoyed getting to know pets and their families as they grow, providing quality, compassionate care at every stage.

Walnut Creek Veterinary Hospital is built on this foundation, and a desire to get back to the days where your veterinarian was there for you & your animal family, listened to you without rushing to the next appointment, grieved with you when it was time to say goodbye, and when you felt like your veterinarian was part of your family. Her dream came to fruition with the opening of Walnut Creek Veterinary Hospital in September of 2014.

In the age where veterinary practices are being bought by large companies, Jill is proud to be an independent business owner. She and her team offer the community both outstanding medical care for pets, as well as thoughtful customer service for those who care for them.

Dental care is vital to the overall health of any animal.
Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream.
In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
We will provide face masks for those who do not have one or services will not be rendered.
While we would love to welcome everyone in, we ask that the following visits continue to be curbside to avoid any overcrowding in the hospital.
Please call to check in for your appointment when you arrive, and our staff will assist you from there.
Curbside service will continue to be offered for those who do not feel comfortable coming inside.
