Dr. George Ghneim moved to downtown Raleigh from San Francisco in 2003 with the intent of staying for just a few years. Despite his intentions, he quickly fell in love with the people, the community and the animals of Raleigh. In 2016, Dr. Ghneim joined the Vets Pets family of veterinary practices as a partner and lead veterinarian at Wake Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care.
Recognizing the need to bring additional customer service-focused veterinary care to an expanding community, Dr. Ghneim and Vets Pets made the decision to open three Oak Heart Veterinary Hospitals in 2019.

While your dog is boarding with Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital at South Saunders, they are taken care of as if they are our very own.
As soon as we arrive in the morning the pets are first walked and then fed their morning meal.
They will receive a total of four walks a day: before breakfast, mid-day, in the afternoon, and in the evening in order to take care of any potty needs.
Throughout the day pets are housed in our spacious kennel runs.
Sibling pets also have the option to board together in our larger runs if requested.
