Services
She is a lifelong animal lover and in 2008 she began her career in veterinary field learning every facet of the business of loving and taking care of animals from the ground up.
2008 was a big year for Rachel, it was also the year she moved from Hudson, Ohio to the great state of Texas.
We are glad to have her at Traveling Tails and we know your pets will be too.
When asked why she loves her job, Rachel is quick to say it's because animals can fix any bad day and she wants to be able to help pet parents learn how to fix their fur babies and prevent them from hurting too.
We take the time to develop individualized, comprehensive pet wellness care and preventative programs to suit your pet's specific needs.
At Traveling Tails, our preventative and wellness exams allow us to follow your pet from their youth all the way into their adulthood.
Whether you've just adopted a new puppy or realized that your cat hasn't left the house in 10 years, we believe that having regular checkups and wellness exams are critical to your pet's well-being.
Just like humans, pets require vaccinations in their youth to ensure a healthy life long-term.
Spaying involves removing the ovaries and uterus of your female pet and is a surgical procedure performed under anesthesia.
We follow strict protocols and continually monitor your pet's vital signs to help ensure their safety.
Neutering involves removing the testicles of your male pet and is also a surgical procedure performed under anesthesia with the above referenced strict protocols and monitoring to keep your pet safe.
To learn more about spay/neutering your pet or to schedule an appointment, please call our clinic at (210) 495-8245.
Traveling Tails is proud to offer a state-of-the-art, in-house laboratory at both locations using the finest IDEXX diagnostic equipment available.
We also offer outside laboratory testing for complex laboratory screenings.
Our clinics feature modern radiology equipment and digital radiology for our dental patients.
Routine laboratory screenings for all pets is part of our philosophy for annual wellness visits.
These laboratory tests can catch health issues we are unable to see when examining your pet.
If your pet is not updated on these vaccines or is coming due, don't worry!
We can have our doctors update them while they are here!
For more information or to set up a boarding appointment for your pet, give us a call at 210-495-8245.
We supply an easy on the tummy food for our boarders from Royal Canin, it is called Feline GI as well as their water and food bowls.
We also supply them with bedding.
Although we do supply them with food and bedding we understand that some pet's are on special diets as well as have certain toys and bedding that they like and we welcome you to bring that, we just ask that you make sure to label everything!
