We are available Nights, Holidays, and 24 hours on the weekends.
We will work hard to give your pet the best care possible when your veterinarian is not open and work closely with them when they are to see that your pet receives the best care.
In order to make sure your veterinarian stays aware of your pet's condition, we have the option to use the Vet Care Express transport service to transfer your pet back to your veterinarian when we close or you would, of course, be able to transport your pet yourself.

She is originally from Morehead, Ky and graduated from Auburn University cum laude (War Eagle!) in 2008 and has been practicing emergency medicine ever since.
She loves both surgery and medicine cases and enjoys the rush that emergency medicine provides.
She lives at home with her husband, Alex, son Joe, and their dogs, Reese and Penny (Boston Terriers).
Dr. Mendez is originally from Dalton, Georgia.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in 1996 and the Ohio State University where she earned a Masters degree in Animal Science in 2003.

Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and technicians working together to save a pet's life.
Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, chocolate ingestion, or any abnormal behavior that worries you.
If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately.
If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
