Dr. Zylstra received his B.S. in Veterinary Science from Michigan State University in 1988 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1992.
He grew up in Grandville, MI and graduated from Calvin Christian High School.
During Veterinary school, he developed a passion for Cardiology and Ultrasonography, pursuing both areas of study after graduation through specialized continuing education classes.
Dr. Zylstra has a love of learning and makes it his priority to stay up to date on current research, diagnostics, and treatments by attending annual continuing education conferences.

A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours.
Usually we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients.
