After a summer internship at the Henry Berg Memorial Hospital of the ASPCA in NYC, he worked 5 years as an associate veterinarian at the Fort Hill Animal Hospital in Huntington Long Island, NY.
Wishing to return to his hometown of Madison, CT, where he graduated from DHHS in 1965, he built the Madison Veterinary Hospital in 1976.
In 2001, Dr. Ouellette saw the need to add alternate veterinary therapies to his general surgery, dental, and internal medicine practice.

The most important thing that you can do for your pet is to have regular examinations by a veterinarian.
Annual physical exams, vaccinations, routine blood work, urinalysis, and fecal testing, are key to maintaining your pet's overall health and happiness.
Our pets are living longer than ever before, thanks to advances in preventative care and nutrition.
We strive to prevent pet illnesses, including the health risks and complications associated with being an overweight pet such as diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, and joint problems, as well as the health issues associated with our senior pets involving arthritis, dental disease, hormonal imbalances, weight problems, kidney, heart and liver disease.
