Robert C. Wyand, D.V.M., owner and founder of Great Falls Veterinary Hospital, is a 1983 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. He received his B.S. from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Wyand and his wife Martha, a Physical Therapist, moved to New Hampshire from Connecticut in 1984. They have three children, Megan, Rachel, and Spencer.
In 1986, Great Falls Veterinary Hospital opened its doors and has grown to be one of the finest veterinary hospitals in the area. The quality of care and professional, attentive service provided by Dr. Wyand and his experienced staff is evident from the minute you walk through the door. To allow ample time for all patients and surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment.
Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date.

Comprehensive physical examinations are an important tool in providing a long, quality life for your pet.
Pet's age 5-7 times faster than humans, can't talk, and often hide early signs of disease.
One year represents 5-10% of the pet's life span, whereas one year only represents a very small percentage of the average life of a human.
Getting a comprehensive physical examination for your pet is like one every 5-7 years for humans.
Since pets can't talk to us, they often are unable to communicate problems before they become a major concern and threat to your pet's well being.

He is a Sphynx cat mixed with some Devon Rex.
We saw him every year until October of 2012 when we were privileged to have him stay permanently.
He was a very good eater as his weight was over 30 pounds!
After months of exercise, hard work and yes, a diet, he lost a total of 18 pounds!
That's when his true personality came out.
He has been known to pose as an armadillo, E.T, and a pharaoh.
Blackie can usually be found greeting clients at the front desk, basking in the sun or looking for a yummy treat.
