Community Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital, located in the heart of Pocatello, Idaho, and is the only AAHA-accredited practice in town. This means we voluntarily adhere to the highest standards of patient care so you can be confident that your pet is in the best of hands. We offer high quality and compassionate veterinary medicine, surgery, dentistry, boarding, and emergency services to our community's companion animals.
We also offer canine reproduction, PennHIP, and cremation services. We treat dogs, cats, birds, small mammals and small ruminants. Community Animal Hospital is located on the corner of 12th and Oak at 833 North 12th Ave in Pocatello, Idaho. Dr. Alpert grew up in Kansas and Washington State before completing her undergraduate education at the University of Utah.
She earned her DVM at Oregon State University in 2002 and first worked at a mixed animal practice in rural Arizona after college. She purchased Community Animal Hospital in 2007.

Brandie has been a part of our team since 2010.
She loves working with animals except for spiders (eeek!).
She currently works as the Practice Manager and is working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and her 2 dogs Paisley (white) and Millie (brown & white).
Brandie has many hobbies including photography, camping, video games, snowboarding, and most of all.
She is our Lead Technician.
She graduated from Bel-Rea Institue of Animal Technology in Colorado, with an Associates degree in Applied Science in 2015.
She loves working with animals except for spiders (eeek!).

If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency, and be ready to start treatments as soon as you arrive.

Community Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program.
It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments.
