Services
Summit Animal Hospital's journey from inception to fruition was certainly an exciting one, one that was welcomed by the Eldersburg community.
Prior to the construction of our facility, Dr. Felicia Neuman, with her years of experience in preventive and emergency veterinary care, became more and more aware of a need throughout her career.
A need that not every hospital addresses the same way: the need for patient comfort.
She always supported the philosophy of balancing high-quality veterinary care with low-stress methods to provide the best possible experience for every patient she meets.
Summit Animal Hospital is pleased to operate as a low-stress veterinary practice in the Eldersburg area, headed by Dr. Felicia Neuman.
If you have any questions for Dr. Neuman or would like to schedule an appointment with her, feel free to give us a call at 410-795-0700.
She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A & M University and has specialties in emergency and critical care, dentistry, geriatric care, and animal behavior.
To stay current on the latest in veterinary medicine, she is affiliated with the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.
We want your canine or feline friend to live a long, happy, healthy life just as much as you do.
That's why Summit Animal Hospital recommends a comprehensive annual wellness exam at least once a year.
We tailor our low-stress wellness services to your pet's age, breed, and lifestyle while taking the time to discuss their specific needs, including vaccinations, weight management, and behavioral training.
Upholding the low-stress philosophy of our practice, we advise you to bring your pet in a carrier or on a leash.
When the standard physical exam isn't enough to determine your pet's condition, Summit Animal Hospital relies on diagnostics for an internal evaluation, including digital dental and full radiography.
We also maintain a full-service, in-house laboratory, where we can perform a number of tests to diagnose viruses, diseases, and other conditions.
These diagnostic options allow us to make a more accurate diagnosis of your pet's condition so we can develop the most effective treatment plan.
With our full body digital radiography equipment, we can quickly examine your pet's bones and other internal structures to detect fractures, foreign bodies, and other conditions.
Summit Animal Hospital is pleased to offer not only preventive, diagnostic, and surgical services for your companion, but daytime emergency services as well.
We understand how distressing emergency situations can be when they involve a pet, since animals obviously can't speak to tell us what's wrong.
That's why we handle all emergency cases with timeliness, tact, and compassion.
Dr. Neuman has over a decade of experience as a professional emergency veterinarian and can appropriately handle any case, including emergency illnesses and injuries, trauma injuries (both of which can be life-threating), and urgent care cases (not life-threatening).
