Bridgemill Animal Hospital
At Bridgemill, our mission is to provide unparalleled medical care in a compassionate, family-friendly environment. We understand that your pets are members of your family, and we approach every aspect of their care with that in mind. Bridgemill Animal Hospital is the lifelong dream of Dr. Janelle Brown.

From her early exploits patching up her stuffed animals, to her work for the animal shelter during her college years, and through her career as a practicing veterinarian, Dr. Brown has dreamed of building an animal hospital that combines a state of the art facility with the kind of one-on-one compassionate care that she believes every pet and their family deserves.

Dr. Brown's recent years consulting with veterinarians across the Carolinas, as well as providing relief assistance to dozens of area practices, give her a unique perspective on what works and what does not.Dr. Brown is dedicated to bringing the industry's best practices in both veterinary medicine and client care to Bridgemill Animal Hospital.
Services
We offer wellness examinations, vaccinations, and health screening tests tailored to the special needs of each pet.
Puppies and kittens are given pediatric exams designed specifically for our youngest patients.
While many vaccinations are available, not all pets need every available vaccine.
After consulting with you about your pet's lifestyle, our veterinarian tailors a vaccination plan specific to your pet.
For our feline patients, we carry a line of vaccines made specifically to reduce the side effects seen in some previous vaccines.
We offer full dental services performed with state-of-the-art equipment.
Your pet's oral health is an integral part of overall health.
Periodic dental cleanings reduce bad breath and improve your pet's quality of life by eliminating a chronic source of infection and pain that result from dental disease.
Dental procedures can vary widely depending on the state of oral disease.
By examining your pet prior to the dental, we can better assess the extent of dental disease and provide a treatment plan specific to your pet.
Our veterinarian provides routine surgeries such as spays and neuters, as well as mass removals and emergency procedures.
Our state-of-the-art surgery suite has the latest in anesthesia and monitoring equipment, and to warm our post-operative patients we use special water-circulating blankets that prevent thermal burns.
From a pre-surgical exam for risk assessment to discharge, our surgical patients are provided with the special care they need to reduce stress and post-operative complications.
Bridgemill Animal Hospital has both in-house lab machines for immediate results when needed, and a send-out lab for overnight results when specialized testing is more appropriate.
Our x-ray machine is designed specifically for our animal patients, which reduces handling time and x-ray exposure while enhancing image quality.
Your pet's lab results and x-rays are integrated into your pet's patient file through our management software, providing a more comprehensive health record for your pet.
We believe our senior patients require specialized care.
Older patients are more prone to arthritis, organ dysfunction and other diseases.
Because animals instinctively hide illness, early onset of these diseases may be difficult to see.
Many of these can be easily managed with dietary modifications, supplements, or medications if needed.
Often more specialized testing such as blood work or x-rays is required for diagnosis, so we recommend our seniors get a more personalized plan based on their specific needs.
